This maternity session was extra special because Chantell and I have known each other for about nine years. We met running around a brewery restaurant waiting tables back when I was in college. When Chantell told me how important documenting her final pregnancy was to her, I couldn’t wait photograph her & family again.
The session went amazing and even little Haelee had fun loving on momma and kissing her belly for the photos. She may or may not have been motivated by getting to pick out a toy at target if she was good, but hey, whatever works right?
To beat the summer heat and to keep my momma safe from the scorching Phoenix June temps, we scheduled the maternity session for sunrise. Hearing Chantell after our session say that getting her and her family up at 3:30 in the morning was completely worth it, made my heart sing. The feeling was mutual.
I cannot wait to meet their new little bundle of joy and hear whether their baby is a boy or a girl! I still can’t believe they had the will power to keep the gender a surprise for BOTH pregnancies! Incredible.
